THE TRADITION AND THE CHURCH

“Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the TRADITIONS which you have learned, whether by word or by epistle”

How the Church brought into its existence?
•Matthew 16:18

Jesus said to Peter, “ You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my CHURCH.
•Christ himself is the founder not any human beings….

Colossian 1:18



“And he is the head of the body, the church…….”

Is it Church or Churches?

•No

because our Lord Jesus Christ said….”I will build my CHRUCH” Mat. 16:18 and He never say CHURCHES…..

But what is church by the way?


•A building that is used for Christian religious services…..Cf. Merriam-Webster Dictionary


What is the bible says?
•1 Timothy 3:15

“But if I tarry long, that thou may know how you ought to BEHAVE yourself in the HOUSE of GOD, which is the CHURCH of the living God the pillar and the ground of truth……

Acts 9:4

“….Saul, Saul why you have persecuted me?”

Before the church came into existence did the Jewish people practice also a certain tradition?
•For the Pharisees, and all the Jews eat without often washing their hands, holding the TRADITION of the ancients”…Mark 7:3

The Church receive the DIVINE authority from Christ (FOUNDER)
•Matthew 16:19
•“And I will give you the Keys to the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN…….
•The power of loosening and binding and the heaven permits And this authority is in the CHURCH alone founded by Christ………
The church has the power to preach and to teach to the potential members of the church.
•“….teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
•“Teaching them to OBSERVE ALL THINGS whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you until the consummation of the world.” Matthew 28:20
